About Julia

Julia grew up in a small town in Germany and decided to study geosciences at the University of Bremen. During her studies, she spent a year at Saint Petersburg State University, Russia, where she studies geophysics and oceanography. She has had the opportunity to participate in several multi-national expeditions. “The Lake E project was the most exciting and the “coolest” one.” Julia continues her studies as PhD student at the University of Cambridge, UK, working on the global signature of abrupt climate events by analyzing marine sediments.
