About Dan
Dan Ruthrauff, wildlife biologist with USGS, Alaska Science Center.
“I’m a research wildlife biologist and I specialize in birds, and shorebirds in particular. I’ve been studying shorebirds here in Alaska coming up on 20 years now. Currently research is focusing on how shorebirds are responding to changes in the climate. So some of the work that I am doing focuses on breeding birds and some of the work I’m finishing up focuses on birds during the winter time.”
