About Collin

Collin Ward, PhD Candidate at the University of Michigan, researches thermokarst in the Arctic. His science focuses on understanding what happens when carbon from long-dead organic matter thaws in Earth’s rising temperatures and enters the vast network of Arctic surface water. As part of the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at the University of Michigan, Collin joins his adviser Dr. Rose Cory in Arctic research on Alaska’s North Slope. More information about Collin Ward can be found on his profile page at University of Michigan.
