About Alessio

Alessio is from the Alps region in Italy.  Alessio grew up in a snowy place where they have a big winter and a thick snowpack. “In the Alps, the mountains are as big as 4000 meters and small glaciers,” said Alessio, “but they are tiny when compared to Alaskan glaciers.” So for Alessio, snow is something he’s always been into and says “Snow is cool.” Alessio came to the arctic because he wanted to see other mountain chains besides the Alps. Alessio completed a PhD in the UK studying the European glaciers.
